Ko te Atua te Kaihanga o ngā mea katoa – God is the Creator of all things.
At Wai Atua Charitable Trust, we exist to nurture thriving people, flourishing communities, and a healthy environment by bringing together Christian faith, mātauranga Māori, and practical action.
We are committed to strengthening whānau, hapū, and iwi through culturally grounded programmes that develop servant leaders, grow resilient communities, and restore connections between people, the whenua, and God.
Our work focuses on:
- Leadership Formation & Education (Wānanga) – equipping current and emerging leaders to serve with wisdom, integrity, and purpose.
- Mahinga Kai & Māra Kai – empowering whānau through food sovereignty, environmental stewardship, and sustainable growing practices.
- Community Development – supporting initiatives that build resilience, wellbeing, and local leadership.
- Cultural Revitalisation – preserving and sharing Māori knowledge, stories, language, and traditions for future generations.
We believe lasting transformation happens when people are equipped to lead, communities are connected, culture is valued, and creation is cared for.
